Thermos Bottle Stew Recipe

Ingredients

1 ½ pounds lean ground beef

1 cup chopped onion

2 stalks celery

finely chopped

1 (2 pound) package frozen mixed vegetables

1 (10.75 ounce) cancondensed tomato soup

1 tablespoon dried basil

1 tablespoon dried parsley

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 bay leaf

salt and pepper to taste

1 (16 ounce) can crushed tomatoes

1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce

9 ¾ cups water

German Hamburgers (Frikadellen)

Directions

Step 1

Using a large stock pot brown your meat (breaking into small pieces as it cooks). Once meat is browned add onions and celery sauteing until soft.

Step 2

Add frozen vegetables tomato soup basil parsley oregano bay leaves salt and pepper crushed tomatoes tomato sauce and water. Simmer for one hour and then serve. Remove bay leaves before serving.
